Vintage Glass Gems is an independent specialist in authentic vintage Italian lighting, founded and operated from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in northeastern Italy. We source, authenticate, and ship original mid-century lighting fixtures directly from Italy to collectors, interior designers, and design enthusiasts worldwide.

What We Sell

Our collection spans original vintage pendants, ceiling lights, wall sconces, chandeliers, and table lamps from Italy's most celebrated glassmaking and design traditions. This includes hand-blown Murano glass lighting from Venice, brass and metal fixtures from the Milanese design era, and regional Italian craftsmanship from the 1950s through the 1980s. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind original — not a reproduction, not a reinterpretation.

How We Source

With over 8 years of experience working directly across Italy, we build relationships with private estates, regional antique dealers, and long-standing contacts on Murano island itself. We do not buy from wholesale catalogues or import generic vintage-style goods. Every piece passes through our hands, is inspected for condition and authenticity, and is documented before listing.

Each item in our collection is described honestly — including age-appropriate wear, patina, and any restoration work. We believe imperfection is part of what makes a vintage piece valuable: these objects were made by hand, used in real homes, and have survived decades.
