Description

An iconic piece of Italian modernist design — the Joe Colombo Model 626 floor lamp for Oluce, originally designed in 1970 and one of the most celebrated examples of Italian Mid-Century Modern lighting. This example perfectly embodies Colombo’s vision of functional, adaptable living: the white enamelled aluminium visor reflector slides vertically along the chrome stem, directing light upward or downward as needed.

The sculptural U-shaped arm supports the reflector and is mounted on a slender chromed metal stem rising from a weighted painted metal base. Its elegant industrial aesthetic makes it equally at home in Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, minimalist, and contemporary interiors. The timeless design has earned a place among the most important Italian lighting creations of the twentieth century and remains highly sought after by collectors worldwide.

Bulb & Plug Compatibility

All pieces use standard Edison screw fittings: E27 (large, most pendants and sconces) or E14 (small, table lamps and multi-arm chandeliers). A handful of pieces use halogen — noted in the listing. E27 and E26 are interchangeable with a simple ring adapter.

These are straightforward socket circuits with no built-in electronics, so they're fully voltage-agnostic — just fit a bulb rated for your local voltage (110V or 220V) and it works.

Plug-in lamps: you'll need a standard EU-to-local plug adapter (EU Type C/F to US Type A/B, UK Type G, AU Type I, etc.). No voltage converter required.
