Description

The iconic Vega wall or ceiling light, designed in 1985 by Luciano Cesaro with Fabio Amico for Tre Ci Luce, is a celebrated example of Italian postmodern and Space Age lighting design.

This sculptural fixture is defined by its striking double-disc aluminium construction: a smaller front disc conceals the light source, while a larger rear disc acts as a reflector. Together, they create a dramatic “solar eclipse” effect, casting indirect, atmospheric light that feels both futuristic and refined.

Minimalist yet expressive, the Vega lamp perfectly captures the experimental spirit of 1980s Italian design and is often associated with the Memphis movement and the post–Mid-Century Modern revival. Its graphic geometry and clever light diffusion make it as much an art object as a functional light.

Designed for use as either a wall light or flush ceiling fixture, Vega works beautifully in contemporary, minimalist, and design-led interiors, adding architectural presence without visual clutter.

Bulb & Plug Compatibility

All pieces use standard Edison screw fittings: E27 (large, most pendants and sconces) or E14 (small, table lamps and multi-arm chandeliers). A handful of pieces use halogen — noted in the listing. E27 and E26 are interchangeable with a simple ring adapter.

These are straightforward socket circuits with no built-in electronics, so they're fully voltage-agnostic — just fit a bulb rated for your local voltage (110V or 220V) and it works.

Plug-in lamps: you'll need a standard EU-to-local plug adapter (EU Type C/F to US Type A/B, UK Type G, AU Type I, etc.). No voltage converter required.
