Description

This set of two vintage glass wall sconces pairs a circular fixture with a square one, each crafted from thick clear glass with pronounced stamped relief. Their irregular textured surfaces create fascinating reflections, turning simple geometric shapes into sculptural decorative objects.

The contrast between the round and square silhouettes gives the set a distinctive asymmetrical character, while the matching glass texture creates a harmonious visual connection.

Inspired by the strong geometry of Brutalist and Art Deco design, these wall lights balance industrial character with refined vintage craftsmanship. When illuminated, the embossed glass captures and refracts light, emphasising the depth of the relief and creating atmospheric reflections across surrounding surfaces.

Imagine the two shapes displayed together as an architectural composition in a hallway, entryway or staircase, or installed separately to connect different rooms visually. Their compact proportions also suit bedrooms, home offices and masculine-inspired interiors. A distinctive decorative set for collectors of Mid-Century lighting and lovers of bold geometric design.

Condition: Good vintage condition. The glass retains its distinctive textured appearance. Minor signs of age and use may be present, consistent with vintage lighting. Both fixtures have completely renewed wiring and are fully functional. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.

Bulb & Plug Compatibility

All pieces use standard Edison screw fittings: E27 (large, most pendants and sconces) or E14 (small, table lamps and multi-arm chandeliers). A handful of pieces use halogen — noted in the listing. E27 and E26 are interchangeable with a simple ring adapter.

These are straightforward socket circuits with no built-in electronics, so they're fully voltage-agnostic — just fit a bulb rated for your local voltage (110V or 220V) and it works.

Plug-in lamps: you'll need a standard EU-to-local plug adapter (EU Type C/F to US Type A/B, UK Type G, AU Type I, etc.). No voltage converter required.

Outside the EU, please have a local electrician check the lamp before use.

Every vintage piece here was blown and shaped by hand in Italy, most of it in Murano glass, and no two are exactly alike. Lighting from those decades was made to last, with thick glass, solid metal and careful proportions, and it gives the soft, warm glow that new lamps rarely manage. It is sculpture as much as light: it moves with you from home to home, keeps its value, and stays beautiful for another fifty years.
